Pre-launch. The free desktop build works today — it isn't code-signed yet, so your OS warns on first run. Paid sync, billing, and the mobile app aren't open yet. Get in touch.

Connect Claude

The Claude connector lets Claude Desktop and Claude Code read your Minutist meetings when you ask. It is free and local: the desktop app serves an MCP endpoint on your machine, and you point your own Claude client at it. There is no hosted relay in the path and no account or subscription required.

  • Minutist desktop app installed and running (the endpoint is served by the app).
  • Claude Desktop or Claude Code on the same machine.

The app shows the connector’s local URL (a localhost port) and its bearer token in the connector settings pane, together with a ready-to-paste config snippet. The token stays on your machine; regenerating it invalidates the old one.

  1. Open the Claude Desktop config

    claude_desktop_config.json lives at ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/ on macOS or %APPDATA%\Claude\ on Windows.

  2. Paste the snippet from the app

    The app’s connector pane shows the exact mcpServers block for your port and token. It has this shape:

    {
    "mcpServers": {
    "minutist": {
    "url": "http://localhost:<port>/mcp",
    "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer <token>" }
    }
    }
    }

    Use the port and token shown in the app’s connector settings pane.

    Restart Claude Desktop.

  3. Verify

    Ask Claude: “What Minutist tools do you have?” Claude should list the available tools. For a full reference, see MCP tools.

Terminal window
claude mcp add --transport http minutist http://localhost:<port>/mcp \
--header "Authorization: Bearer <token>"

Substitute the port and token shown in the app’s connector settings pane.

Then verify the same way: “What Minutist tools do you have?”

Once connected, Claude can read your transcripts, notes, and summaries when you ask. It does not have standing access; each request you make triggers the tool call.

For the full list of available tools and their parameters, see MCP tools.

Disable the connector (or regenerate its bearer token) in the app’s connector settings pane; either immediately cuts off every client using the old token. Then remove the minutist entry from your Claude config.
